The challenge

MegaETH’s public token sale in October 2025 was oversubscribed within 5 minutes. By close, 53,000+ participants had committed over $1.39 billion against a ~$50M target, and Bubblemaps flagged 20+ entities using multiple wallets to bypass the $186K max bid.

The Ethos approach

MegaETH integrated Ethos credibility scores as part of their multi-layered allocation system, alongside onchain activity, social signals, and MegaETH-specific engagement. The scoring was designed to reward real believers, not points grinders.

“The sale was 28x oversubscribed. It makes no sense to allocate tokens to someone who wants to sell them before they even receive them.”
Namik Muduroglu Namik Muduroglu1436Chief Strategy Officer, MegaETH Labs

The result

MegaETH filtered 53,000 participants down to ~6,000 qualified allocations, detected and blocked coordinated sybil attacks worth millions, and launched mainnet (Feb 9, 2026) with a holder base of real, credible supporters.

Sybil risk mitigation
Risk level 89.9% of applicants filtered
“What’s the best chance to get some size in? As stated: onchain reputation (ETHOS score), onchain history, social reputation, history supporting MegaETH...”
